A standardized extract from the fruit of Piper nigrum L (black pepper) or Piper longum L. (long pepper). Bioperine® supports the body's natural thermogenic activity, triggering digestive mechanisms and subsequent gastrointestinal absorption, which can enhance the bioavailability of various nutrients.* The direct intake of black pepper itself has not been shown to improve nutrient absorption. Bioperine® is patented, and has been clinically tested in the United States.
