Allergy Research Group partners with the Natural Medicine Journal to offer Free Continuing Education Credits to Naturopathic Physicians

December 27, 2017

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Naturopathic doctors are required to earn a specific number of continuing education (CE) credits to maintain their license. Sometimes it can be very difficult to fulfill that requirement. Thanks to a new pilot program, naturopathic physicians can now earn free CE credits by listening to a Natural Medicine Journal (NMJ) podcast.

A message from the NMJ:

“We are thrilled to partner with the Oregon Board of Naturopathic Medicine to provide our naturopathic readers with continuing education credits,” said Kathi Magee, NMJ Associate Publisher and the person leading the new CE program. “This is just one more way we can continue to be a valuable resource to the naturopathic doctors who read our journal each month.”

The pilot program begins with a 30-minute podcast titled Integrative Treatment Considerations for Patients with Eating Disorders featuring an interview with Carrie Decker, ND. After listening to the podcast, listeners can take the 10-question online test. If they pass, they print out their certificate and are awarded with 0.5 general education credits. The CE program is free to NMJ readers due to an educational grant provided by Allergy Research Group.

“This new pilot program allows us to test the waters to determine if our readers want NMJ to offer continuing education,” said Karolyn Gazella, NMJ publisher. “Preliminary feedback has been very positive.”

NMJ leadership would love your feedback. Feel free to email Kathi Magee at kathi@impacthealthmedia.com with your comments.
