What is Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose derived from and what is its purpose in your products?

Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) is the scientific name for the ingredient that makes up our vegetarian capsules (vegie caps). It is initially derived from the vegetable cellulose fibers of pine tree bark.
